ParticipantHas anyone had any experience with a client receiving prolotherapy (one injection every 3 weeks) and also having Matrix Repatterning? I have someone coming for initial evaluation for posterior leg pain b/l that starts in the buttocks. He has had prolotherapy months ago in his legs without success and now is trying it in the lower back area, but he also wants to try MR. He is 2 weeks beyond the first injection and coming for an evaluation. My intention was to evaluate and go from there. Thoughts?

ParticipantIn my evaluation, I used my hand rather than the scanner to identify injury in the lower abdomen, lower spine and pelvis in keeping with Clare’s recommendation above, and I have only treated the lower extremity to this point.

ParticipantI am treating my first client who is pregnant, a 36 yr old woman in her first trimester ( 9 weeks) with low back pain that radiates down her leg. The pain started prior to the pregnancy. I note that others have treated pregnant women with good results. This young woman had a miscarriage 4 or 5 months ago, and does not want that to repeat, but the back pain in limiting her mobility (MRI reports mention 2 bulging discs). Is there any concern about having the scanner near the fetus, especially in the early stages of pregnancy? Thanks for any insights!

ParticipantThanks, Clare. That is helpful, and matches my thinking.

ParticipantThanks, Freda! The umbilicus turned up only after the cranium, C-Spine. Next time round, I will go with my gut and stop when I think it’s time to stop. Fortunately, my client’s gut is feeling completely settled on Day 5 and she is still eager to come for a follow up appointment, though we will wait a couple of weeks.

ParticipantThanks, Freda. He is in stable condition, nevertheless, I did proceed cautiously and did not have any adverse effects. He has come back for multiple visits. He has appreciated small shifts, is sleeping better and better able to manage low back pain that radiates down his leg. That has not fully resolved, and he is proceeding with the surgery that was already scheduled when he first came for evaluation.
