I understand that the small magnet in the new scanner set has three coils and the larger has four coils. I can understand how the four coils is stronger than the three but am having challenges wrapping my head around one side of a magnet being stronger than the other side. I could tell the difference when we were working with them at the symposium it is more understanding how it is possible for one side to be stronger than the other. Any help or clarification would be wonderful, thank you!

Hello Jessica,
I know that this explanation does not directly answer your question but this is some info that Dr Roth has provided.
Theoretical effect of the concentric, alternating polarity magnet (MatrixMagTM) on biological tissue:
Scientific/Professional:
The unique magnetic field geometry produced by the concentric, alternating polarity device, appears to provide a therapeutic influence on biological tissue, including pain modulation and tissue repair. This may be due a ‘cascading’ bio‐electrical effect on the ionic (charged) particles across cell membranes and various fluid compartments within the body.
Laymen:
The unique design of the MatrixMagTM device appears to stimulate electrical conduction in tissue, which provides a normalizing bio‐electrical influence at the cellular level, resulting in reduced tension, pain reduction and tissue repair. -

Thanks Matt. I can understand all of that but I am still having difficulty understanding how side A of one magnet is stronger than side B when it has the same number of coils.

Hello Jessica,
I confess that the exact nature of the difference is still a mystery. It is simply a clinical finding, which is consistent on some of the early testing of this magnet configuration, which demonstrated that the maximal biological effect seemed to occur with the “north” pole in the centre of the array.

Could there be any connection with the North Pole in the center and us generally being closer to the magnetic field of the North Pole in the northern hemisphere?
